SABJI'S

1. Tomato Sabji



Ingredients

  • Oil
  • Mustard Seeds - 1/2 t spoon
  • Cinnamon sticks- 2
  • Cloves - 2
  • Cumin - 1 t spoon
  • Chopped Small onion - 15 Nos
  • Chopped Green chilli - 4
  • Curry leaves - 2 stem
  • Finely Chopped Tomatoes - 8
  • Salt to taste
  To Garnish
  • Grated coconut - 1 table spoon
  • Coriander leaves - 3 stems

Method

  1. Cook the ingredients by adding them in the above order. Note : Tomatoes should be cooked such that u can smash it with a laddle.
  2. Smash the entire cooked items with a laddle when its hot and the garnish with the items given.

2.Peerkan Sabji

Ingredients

  • Oil
  • Chopped Small onion - 15 Nos
  • Chopped Green chilli - 4
  • Curry leaves - 2 stem
  • Finely Chopped Coriander leaves - 4 stems
  • Cumin - 1 t spoon
  • Finely chopped peerkan - 2 cups
  • Tamarind - size of a gooseberry
  • Salt to taste

  Method

  1. Cook the ingredients by adding them in the above order. Note : Add water at the last and cook well
  2. Grind the cooked items and serve.
