KARA KOLLUKATAI


Ingredients



To grind
  • Rice - 1 cup 
  • Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
  • Dry/ green chilli - 6
  • Cumin - 1 t spoon
  • Salt to taste
To Saute
  • Oil
  • Mustard - 1/2 t spoon
  • Split channa dal - 1 t spoon
  • Finely chopped small onion - 1 cup
  • Curry leaves
  • Chopped Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup




Method

  • Soak the rice for 2 hrs and then grind along with the items given. Consistency should be such tat u can feel a pebbly nature.
  • Then Saute the given items and to it add the ground material and stir well untill u can make balls and it doesn stick to ur hands.
  • Make in to balls and steam cook in idly kadai.
